The 13th annual New Canaan Dog Days presented by Pet Pantry Warehouse will once again be hosted right here at the New Canaan Nature Center in Spring 2024.
You won’t want to miss our live demonstrations, lectures, and meet-and-greets. This year’s activities and special event features include, but are not limited to: Dog Lovers Lure Coursing, Radar Run, Kid Zone, Face Painting, Caricature Artist, Bone Bar, Ice Cream Pawlour, All New Sniffari!, and Food Trucks.
Donations are greatly appreciated and will benefit both Adopt-a-Dog and the New Canaan Nature Center.

The flowers at the Nature Center are full of honey and so is our menu. Join us for a Virtual Cooking Event to support the Nature Center! We’ll learn how to prepare a delicious Honey Marinated Chicken, paired with refreshing summer Rose. Julia Deane from Culinary Works will be showing us around the kitchen. Please join us for a virtual lecture with David Allen Sibley, author and illustrator of the series of successful guides to nature that bear his name, including The Sibley Guide to Birds. He has contributed to Smithsonian, Science, The Wilson Journal of Ornithology, Birding, BirdWatching, and North American Birds, and to The New York Times. He is the recipient of the Roger Tory Peterson Award for Lifetime Achievement from the American Birding Association and the Linnaean Society of New York’s Eisenmann Medal. He will be exclusively discussing his newest book, What it’s like to be a bird. You will also be able to purchase the book from our local book store, Elm Street Books.
