"Garden Rhymes "
an exhibition by nature photographer Steve White
A new art exhibit featuring the work of nature photographer Steve White will open on Monday, June 2 at the New Canaan Nature Center. White’s exhibit will be featured through Monday, June 30. This exhibit, titled “Garden Rhymes,” compliments the New Canaan Nature Center’s 19th Annual Secret Gardens Tour and was conceived to play off the similarities and contrasts in the patterns, shapes and colors found in nature.
Steve White lives in Silvermine, and makes photographs predominantly with nature subjects. His work is a gateway into the mystery of nature, where colors, perspectives, patterns and textures work together to expand our sense of who we are and where we live. In addition to photography, Steve leads hikes and makes presentations on nature and spirit, and has worked for a variety of environmental and cultural organizations in the metropolitan area.
