Group Education Programs

What are Group Education Programs?

The New Canaan Nature Center's Group Education Programs bring nature-based adventures (we call them Eduventures) to groups of all sizes and ages. Our dynamic and innovative programs turn the outdoors into our classroom, creating the perfect backdrop for hands-on interactive discovery and learning.

Who Do We Serve?

The New Canaan Nature Center education department works with all kinds of schools, groups, and events. We've even taken our Birds of Prey and Owl programs to many New York City public libraries:
  • Public Schools
  • Parochial/Independent Schools
  • Boy & Girl Scouts
  • Afterschool Programs
  • Libraries
  • Civic Organizations
  • Corporations
  • Special Events
  • Birthday Parties

Where do they Happen?

Programs can take place onsite, immersing participants in our 40-acre nature preserve, or offsite at a location of your choosing.

Why Choose an Onsite Program at NCNC?

Onsite programs take advantage of all our 40-acre sanctuary has to offer. Learning comes alive amidst natural forest, pond and field habitats. Our property includes more than two miles of trails, multiple gardens, a greenhouse, educational facilities like our Discovery Room and several multi-purpose activity rooms.

What Do We Offer?

We bring age appropriate programs to your group that engage the mind and body, utilizing all the senses in dynamic and creative ways through the interaction with nature, science, and art. We can customize programs to suit your needs!
